Alcochete
Beelt has completed the rehabilitation of a historic villa over 70 years old, located in the center of Alcochete. The project transformed the property into a residential complex of four apartments, including a duplex, combining modernity and comfort without losing its original character.
The project was distinguished by an extension at the rear of the building, where a newly built reinforced concrete structure expanded the apartments’ usable space, optimizing the layout and distribution of the units.
To ensure the building’s stability and safety, the construction work also incorporated new metal and laminated wood structures. In the duplex, the previously inaccessible attic was converted into an area, with new rooms and a large balcony providing coverage and shading for the lower-floor apartments.
The renovation also extended to the facades, where the team installed PVC window frames, maintaining the villa’s traditional design. In the outdoor areas, traditional Portuguese elements are evident. Beelt paved the common courtyard and private patios with Portuguese cobblestones and restored and replaced the railings and gates, preserving the site’s historical character.
Through this rehabilitation, Beelt has delivered a residential complex that seamlessly combines modernity and tradition, enhancing the historical charm of Alcochete village.
