Amoreiras
Beelt was chosen to fully rehabilitate and update this amazing apartment in the iconic Amoreiras, giving it a new life, modern and adapted to current needs.
The intervention contemplated the entire apartment and exterior patio, leaving out the updating of the frames, a continuous façade element that cannot be individually intervened. This building, licensed in 1985 and designed by the well known architect Tomás Taveira, is characterized by the use of stone and glass in the facades, with the protruding windows in semicircle as its brand image, which can only be intervened in conjunction with all the floors.
The interior of the apartment, despite being cared for, was in its original state, needing a deep intervention not only in terms of the coverings but also in the use of the existing spaces and all the specialties – electricity, ited, water and sewage, and HVAC. To accomplish the architectural project, all the original coverings and installations of the house were removed.
In the living room a carpentry solution was designed in ash, with laths and plain cabinets for the fireplace cabinet, television, and also for the dining area.
The kitchen was designed in shades of green, and the chosen stone – emerald green quartz – matched the cabinets, also lacquered in green, contrasting with the ash floor.
The coatings of the bathrooms are entirely in ceramic, with walnut veneered cabinets and silestone countertops. The matte black faucets match the glass shower enclosures with black aluminum rim.
The choice was made to use ash wood flooring throughout the house, with the exception of the bathrooms.
Outside, green areas were created using corten steel and also a pergola where an outdoor dining area was created. The original sidewalk, in green and red concrete paving stones, was covered with synthetic grass and a composite deck solution.
A project where nothing was left to chance, concluded on time and with no budget deviations, and which transformed this apartment into a product of excellence, quality, and comfort.
