Complete renovation of residence in Sesimbra
Beelt is the general contractor for the renovation of the Vila Raposa residence, located in Alfarim, municipality of Sesimbra. The rehabilitation project was designed by the Lisbon Office for Architecture and Design, and aims to transform this residence into a modern, functional space in perfect harmony with the surrounding nature.
The intervention involves a significant structural renovation, including the demolition and reconstruction of the rear facade with new pillars and concrete slabs. From the original construction, only the exterior walls, the main facade, and the upper floor will remain, which will be rehabilitated to ensure full harmony with the new construction.
The roof slope will be adjusted, allowing for an increased ceiling height and creating a sense of greater amplitude and brightness in the interior areas. The layout of the residence will be completely reconfigured for a more functional space distribution.
In addition to the associated construction work, one of the focuses of the renovation is the resolution of current moisture issues affecting the ground floor. The solution includes the execution of a sanitary drain and the creation of a geodrain network, aiming to reduce humidity and thus improve thermal comfort and the durability of the new materials.
Outside, the land will also be transformed into a true leisure retreat, with the construction of an outbuilding and deck, ensuring maximum integration with the surrounding nature.
This project has an estimated execution time of 14 months, with completion expected in the fourth quarter of 2025.
