Beelt has completed another iconic project in Lisbon, with the full renovation of a 1940s apartment located on one of the city’s main avenues. The project stood out for its careful preservation of the original architectural elements and meticulous execution of details, giving the space new life without losing its historical essence.

The interior doors, moldings, and original flooring was restored to preserve the apartment’s unique character, while modern solutions were incorporated to ensure the comfort and functionality for future residents.

The kitchen is an example of our precision in this project, where we applied a complex stereotomy of 23 pieces of Moleanos stone, distributed in 13 different sizes, to perfectly align the wall and floor coverings with the kitchen cabinetry, providing a sophisticated and cohesive finish to the space.

In the hallway, Beelt carefully installed a polyurethane cornice to follow the characteristic curved design of the space, ensuring an excellent finish.

Another challenge overcome was the transition between one of the bedrooms and the future laundry room. The difference in floor-level was resolved with a meticulously adjusted baseboard, to ensure the smooth and harmonious connection between the two spaces.

This renovation revitalized the apartment to ensure greater durability, efficiency, and comfort, without compromising its historical character.
