Beelt – Engenharia e Construção – has completed the rehabilitation of a typical 1980s Algarvian villa located in Vale do Lobo, Algarve. The project aimed to preserve the traditional essence and original architectural structure of the property while transforming it into a modern, minimalist, and functional space, adapted to contemporary needs.
The intervention respected the original typology of the house, ensuring a harmonious adaptation to new requirements. Among the main modifications were the creation of an open space between the kitchen and living room, allowing for greater natural light, and the addition of two suites, previously absent, offering increased comfort and privacy.
Alongside standard tasks such as demolitions, ceiling and drywall rehabilitation, and the installation of new water, sewage, electrical, and telecommunications (ITED) systems, the renovation introduced the application of a natural mineral-based flooring throughout the villa. A specialized team meticulously applied the Microlime material in distinct phases, ensuring durability, functionality, and a sophisticated finish.
In the outdoor spaces, Beelt refurbished the pool and covered the floor with Santa Catarina tiles, a traditional Portuguese material that helped preserve the authenticity of the space and promote local identity, seamlessly integrated with the renovation and modernization process of the property.
