Jordão

Beelt has completed the rehabilitation of a residential and commercial building with four levels, located in Mouraria, Lisbon. Located on a site with significant logistical constraints, the project demanded careful management, requiring meticulous planning and close coordination between teams and subcontractors.

The intervention began with the complete replacement of the original wooden floor structure, now reinforced with a metal framework, ensuring the building’s stability and safety. In addition, technical solutions such as micro-concrete spraying were used to level surfaces, and fire-resistant materials were applied to ensure compartmentalization and fire safety.

With great attention to detail, the interiors reveal the care and precision invested in their execution. In the bathrooms, the installation of miter-cut tiling required precision and experience, carried out in close collaboration with specialized partners. Lioz limestone was used in the entrance hall, kitchen countertops, and balcony thresholds, lending continuity and a sense of heritage to the building.

In the common areas, the stairs were fully restored through artisanal work, including carpentry and the recovery of the original handrail. The façade was also renovated, with new window frames and railings installed, improving both safety and comfort.

With the complete rehabilitation of this building in Mouraria, we respected the original character and the architectural heritage of the neighborhood, resulting in a renewed, solid, and functional building in harmony with its surroundings.
